Big Boi: "Gossip" (Feat. Big K.R.I.T. & UGK)
Sir Lucious Left Foot is back after a two-year hiatus, and he’s released a new southern-fried banger in anticipation of Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors. The new track, “Gossip”, features a hungry K.R.I.T., a solid UGK, and Big Boi’s usually dizzying lyricism over a thumping, 1999-era-esque Cash Money beat. Check out the radio rip of “Gossip” here. Vicious...

Watch: ASAP Rocky x Lana Del Rey - National Anthem
So, uh, this exists. ASAP Rocky plays a bizarro world JFK with Lana Del Rey channeling both Marylin Monroe and Jackie O in this video that looks like it was shot completely through an Instagram filter. Though ASAP Rocky doesn’t have a single line throughout LDR’s “National Anthem”, I’m pretty sure they banged during and after this shooting. That’s nice for him....

The Antlers: "Drift Dive"
For the Antlers, water is much more than something to quench your thirst with. In fact, Peter Silberman and company consider H2O deserving of an EP. From their aquatic-obsessed Undersea, “Drift Dive” is the opening piece, and it’s a wonderful one. Longtime listeners of the band will find a somewhat familiar sound, but it’s absolutely laced with those oceanic vibes that...

Freddie Gibbs x Madlib: "Shame"
[MUST-HAVE] Following Freddie Gibbs & Madlib’s late-2011 Thuggin’ EP, the duo have teamed up again for another Stones Throw release. The new EP is entitled Shame, and its title track is a perfectly churned piece of soul combined with Gibbs’ relentless flowing about slammin’. With added vocals by BJ The Chicago Kid, this shit is bound to find itself blaring from...

Watch: ILLLS - "Bathroom Floor"
Earlier this year, we posted an excellent new track from Oxford, MS’s garage outfit ILLLS. That track, “Bathroom Floor”, displays colorfully cathartic youthfulness through its insatiably addicting riffs, and a pop-hook that’ll swim around in your head for some time. Now this track has a video to boot that sees ILLLS drinking alongside inflated phallic symbols and pissing...

M.I.A.: "Bad Girls" (Switch Remix Feat. Missy...
[MUST-HAVE] OOOOOOOOO-WEEEEEEE, Y’ALL! I’ve been waiting on this remix for months, and it lives up to the hype. Structured around Switch’s bang-worthy, whistle-heavy production, “Bad Girls (Remix)” is about as close to a sure-shot summer jam as one could get. Veteran Missy Elliott’s flow here is ridiculous, not to mention she’s got some pretty hilarious...

John Maus: "Bennington"
It’s an obvious understanding that misunderstood people make misunderstood things. In the case of John Maus, being misunderstood is a vast understatement. It’s like saying the Celtics of the ’80s and/or the Bulls of the ’90s were only “kinda great”. Now, I’m not attempting to compare basketball nostalgia with synth-pop, but you get the idea I’m...

Halasan Bazar: "Tin Foiled"
Here’s some rapturous sweetness from Copenhagen-based Halasan Bazar. “Tin Foiled” is a bubbly psych-pop track that sounds like it’s straight from the Bay Area circa the latter part of the ’60s. This is the first single from Halasan Bazar’s forthcoming How To Be Ever Happy LP, which is out in August via Moon Glyph.

Watch: DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn - "We Trippy Mane" /...
The editing on this video must have been absolutely insane to do. With only about five minutes of actual recording, this eight-minute video captures DJ Rashad’s sample manipulation to perfection. DJ Rashad’s Welcome To The Chi is out now on Lit City Trax.

Wild Nothing: "Shadow"
I’m a sucker for dreamy 80’s-influenced pop, and you know this, man. With that being said, you’d know that Wild Nothing’s 2010 masterpiece, Gemini, is one of my favorite albums of the past few years. Led by Jack Tatum, Wild Nothing showcases fleeting youth through sentiments of affection—pushed through an anguish-like filter, of course. Though Wild Nothing has...

The Alchemist: "Flight Confirmation" (Feat. Danny...
[MUST-HAVE] Both Danny Brown and ScHoolboy Q have had a tremendous year. Coming off the success of Danny Brown’s 2011 album, XXX, the Detroit phenom has tore up a number of features this year in a manner that’s more bloodthirsty than we’ve ever seen him. Combine that with ScHoolboy Q’s steady rise to prominence with Black Hippy and his excellent 2012 release, Habits...

With over 20 minutes of pop power, feel free to blast this babe’s new mix like there’s no tomorrow.

Watch: Ghibli - "Babyface"
Ghibli’s recently released full-length, Rare Pleasures, features the kind of European-inspired house music that simply makes you want to jiggle your hips. On the new video for album highlight “Babyface”, a three-minute rave is showcased with the help of flaring colors and interpretative dance. [via PRTLS]

Album Review: 'Bloom' by Beach House
Audio: “Lazuli” By Bill Neidhardt Last week, ya boi Adrian released a non-ordered list of the best albums of the first six months of 2012. A quick glance at the rather comprehensive set reveals predictions that I was making in late 2011 to be true. This is going to be a big year for hip hop. Last year had Shabazz Palaces as an absolute, yet somewhat standalone, stand out. But this...
