This morning, Gorilla vs. Bear posted a fresh new track from Claire Boucher’s Grimes project. The futuristic electro-pop resonance of Grimes has lit up the ears of music listeners over the past year, especially with the reissue of her under-appreciated Geidi Primes. On her newest track, entitled “Genesis”, from her upcoming 4AD debut, Visions, Boucher’s hyper-ethereal vocals ring out above an addicting looping of synth, piano, and drums. “Genesis” is as delicate as it is powerful, propelling itself with graceful tones and sturdy ambition. It’s the first great track of 2012, y’all.
