Nowhere by Wild Nothing
It’s been a hot-ass minute since we last heard the dreamy Wild Nothing project of Virginia’s Jack Tatum. Back in 2010, Gemini, Wild Nothing’s excellent full-length debut, tunneled its way to the hearts of twentysomethings across the globe (including me, though I believe I wasn’t actually quite twenty until later that year). Thankfully, Wild Nothing has emerged from the indie-relevancy abyss to release a new single, “Nowhere”. This melodica-laden track features guest vocals from the lovely Andrea Estella of Twin Sister, whose airy warbles send good vibes to almost everywhere. You’ll notice that Wild Nothing sounds a littler different on this new track, specifically the Americana-esque arpeggios and hooks; however, this isn’t a bad thing, as “Nowhere” is still a charming little slice of dream-pop.
