Glory by Jay-Z (Feat. B.I.C.)
Unless you’ve lived under a rock over the past week, you’d know that the supercouple of Jay-Z and Beyoncé recently had their first child, (Blue) Ivy Carter. In celebration of that fact, Jay-Z has dropped a new song in dedication to his wife and his new daughter. Entitled “Glory”, this track is a bona fide tearjerker, guys. Featuring soulful production from the Neptunes, Jay-Z wears his heart on his sleeve as he delivers bar after bar of affection: “The most amazing feeling I feel/ Words can’t describe what I’m feeling, f’real/ Baby, I paint the sky blue/ My greatest creation was you.” The track ends with what we can assume are some of Ivy’s first cries—a fitting conclusion to a stunning display of overwhelming emotion.

Album Review: “Watch The Throne” by Jay-Z and Kanye West

8.5/10
Audio: “Otis”
Otis feat. Otis Redding by watchthethrone
In many ways, this album was inevitable. Kanye West’s roots with Jay-Z and Roc-A-Fella go back to the year 2000 on the quasi-collaborative Roc La Familia.
Lift Off (Feat. Beyoncé) by Jay-Z And Kanye West
It’s amazing what two millionaires can do. It’s even more amazing when they’re both some of the most respected and talented artists of their time. It seemed like only yesterday when we first heard about Watch The Throne, the new collaborative effort by hip-hop greats Jay-Z and Kanye West. Well, it’s out now, and the album does not disappoint. “Lift Off”, an incredible cut from the album, contains some absolutely awe-inspiring production. Addicting basslines crawl the walls of your ears as Jay-Z comically states, “Rappers hear Watch the Throne/ They gonna be pissed off/ Earth is boring to ‘em/ Shit is making my dick soft.” Through grandiose production and off-the-wall vibes emanating from “Lift Off”, it kind of feels like you’re being taken to the moon, or better yet, the stars.
