TNGHT: “Higher Ground”
TNGHT’s “Higher Ground” has been around for a hot minute, but it’s now got some hypnotizing visuals. The project, which is led by producers Lunice and Hudson Mohawke, has been filling BBC 1’s airwaves for a few months now. With much hype centered around their self-titled debut EP, TNGHT have made the most of it through the best kind of marketing one can do: pumping bangers.
TNGHT EP is out July 24 via Warp.
Watch: Charli XCX - “You’re The One”
Watch: Spiritualized - “Little Girl”
From Spiritualized’s excellent Sweet Heart Sweet Light, “Little Girl” gets a video that’s as filled with pathos as the song is. East German biker chicks, be proud.
Watch: ASAP Rocky x Lana Del Rey - National Anthem
So, uh, this exists. ASAP Rocky plays a bizarro world JFK with Lana Del Rey channeling both Marylin Monroe and Jackie O in this video that looks like it was shot completely through an Instagram filter. Though ASAP Rocky doesn’t have a single line throughout LDR’s “National Anthem”, I’m pretty sure they banged during and after this shooting. That’s nice for him. Check out the video below. (It’s probably best if you just mute it, because, well, Lana Del Rey’s lyrics are just horrendous.)
Watch: ILLLS - “Bathroom Floor”
Earlier this year, we posted an excellent new track from Oxford, MS’s garage outfit ILLLS. That track, “Bathroom Floor”, displays colorfully cathartic youthfulness through its insatiably addicting riffs, and a pop-hook that’ll swim around in your head for some time. Now this track has a video to boot that sees ILLLS drinking alongside inflated phallic symbols and pissing on a school (insert “YOLO” joke).
Watch: DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn - “We Trippy Mane” / “Just Jam (Feat. Gant-Man)”
The editing on this video must have been absolutely insane to do. With only about five minutes of actual recording, this eight-minute video captures DJ Rashad’s sample manipulation to perfection.
DJ Rashad’s Welcome To The Chi is out now on Lit City Trax.
Watch: Dirty Projectors - “Gun Has No Trigger”
Watch: Danny Brown - “Grown Up”

Video: Karen Gwyer - “No Moondoggies For 3 Weeks”
Karen Gwyer is a London—by way of Michigan—synth composer with a knack for making exploratory compositions. Gwyer is set to release her debut album, I’ve Been You Twice, on May 2 via Kaleidoscope. In preparation of the release, Gwyer has released some new visuals for her elaborate and pop-sensible “No Moondoggies For 3 Weeks”. Check it out below:
Watch: Jessie Ware - “110%”
Ah, hell yes, man. So glad to see Jessie Ware back with some fire.
“Carving my initials on your forehead.”
Watch: Mister Lies - “False Astronomy”
19-year-old Chicago producer Mister Lies displays some gorgeous composition work on this track, which has a video to boot. Watch the interstellar pulsation below:
